You may have seen media coverage recently about upcoming elections in Turkey and an update to travel advice from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). It’s normal that the FCO updates its advice for many countries around elections. This update is that “Presidential and parliamentary elections will take place on 24 June 2018. This may result in rallies and demonstrations around the country. You should avoid large gatherings and follow the advice of the local authorities.”
The rest of the advice for Turkey is unchanged. You can read more about travelling to Turkey in this blog by our head of customer welfare. If you have any concerns about your upcoming travel to the area, please contact our team directly on 01733 224554.
Taking your loved ones anywhere is a serious decision. Ultimately, of course, it’s up to you where you choose to go on holiday.
