You will need to check in online or you will have to pay an additional fee at the airport!

But there are a few things that you will need to have handy before you check in, these are;

Your ‘Airline’ reference, which can be found on your Thomas Cook invoice/confirmation (this is not your Thomas Cook booking reference). You will find the correct reference number in the flight's section of your Thomas Cook invoice labelled ‘Airline’ reference). If you're still having trouble using your ‘Airline’ reference on the airline’s website, please double check you are using the right letters and numbers. For instance, the letters’ I, O, and Z’ can look like the numbers ‘1, 0 and 2’. The reference will be a random selection of numbers and letters in any order so it could just be letters.

Your email address (the one your confirmation was sent to).

Your passport details.

You can check in between 24 hours and 2 hours before your flight departs unless you pay Ryanair extra to pre-book your seat, in which case its 60 days before your flight departs. Don't forget, you may have to check in for your return flight while you’re away.

Before you check in you will need to verify your flight booking using the below steps;

  1. Head to the Ryanair website
  2. Click ‘My bookings’
  3. Choose ‘Reservation number’
  4. Click the link at the bottom for bookings made via a third party – this link can be found under the yellow button ‘Retrieve your booking’
  5. Enter your booking reference and the name of the passenger you're verifying. Select either express verification or standard verification. Express verification uses facial recognition technology to verify your identification. It takes approximately 2 minutes and there's a small admin fee of €0.59.
    Standard verification uses your signature to verify your ID. This option doesn’t incur a fee but can take up to 7 days.

You will need to retrieve your booking in your Ryanair account

If you cant see your booking please click ' Can't see your booking?' shown below.From here you will need to enter your Ryanair airline reference and your email address

You will then be able to view your booking!

Ryanair are a self-service airline which means if you want to make any changes to your booking you must do this direct with them. You can do this by accessing your account, through Live chat, or by giving them a call. If you make any changes to your flight dates, times, or names, you must let us know so we can update your hotel booking and transfer arrangements if you have pre- booked them.

If Ryanair asks for any data protection questions, please give them the following: Your email address, our phone number: 02080163289, and our address: The Broadgate Tower, Third Floor, 20 Primrose Street, London, EC2A 2RS.

To Check in:

  • For your reservation number you will need to enter your flight reference number and your email address. (details on how to find these are above).
  • Click on the ‘check-in’ button and add your travel documents. Your seat will be assigned for you unless you pay Ryanair to change them.
  • You can then add any flight extras, such as baggage.
